Whats a Google?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

"Googol" is the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros. The term was coined by Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner, and was popularized in the book, "Mathematics and the Imagination" by Kasner and James Newman. Google's play on the term reflects the company's mission to organize the immense amount of information available on the web.

Nobody finally arrives

Life is unceratin, and at times, I feel that this WebBlomic, no matter how life like it may be, is uncertain. If I am not uploading comics with every color of the spectrum, I'm sitting in a Krystal parking lot, soaking up all the free WiFi I can, only to be let down after trying to upload a comic three seperate times, why? Why blogger? Why. Why do my fans have to wait an additional day, maybe two, to see the next installment of GenreNation? Why, do I waste my time asking retorical questions only to get an auto reply that tells me I havent't tried hard enough and to try again, and let us know if that dosn't work. I know there are a lot of morons out there, in fact, I am ok with the fact that I maybe/am one of those idiotsavants, who...
-Jeremy
What ever are you talking about my good man?
-Captain Nobody
Oh, hey Captain, well, I was trying to upload your arrival comic today, and I just got bummed, I guess, in a way I am bummed out about because I didn't make the The Best Webcomics of 2005. Or maybe I am bummed out, because these illusions of granduier and visons of greatness are all starting to become, well, un-efforted...
-Jeremy
Stop right there, Citizen. There is no need for your negativity. You don't need it, I don't need it, and Mr. Number Two. especially dosn't need it. WE, as a team, need to stay positive, pick oursleves up when we don't make some list complied by some people who, have no idea of the life we live, or the quality comics we produce on a daily basis.
-Captain
But these comics aren't quality...
-Jeremy
I told you boy! Now I am going to have to body slam you... positively.
-Captain
oooh, uhmphhhh, ouch, smile!
-Jeremy
Now let me help you up,
-Captain
Thanks Captain, now on with the show, don't you have a pencil your supposed to be saving?
-Jeremy
Up, Up and....
-Up.
Dont't forget, 3 more days on the choice/chance compitetion! Get your comments in ASAP. I need everyone's participation... seriously, do it. Do it, what are you still reading for, go decide/design.

Digitally Dumbfounded

ShTo publish or not to publish? That is the question.
-Producer
Yes we should publish it! The show must go on! Right? Let me explain. The above 2 images continue to represents the dilemma that I/We are currently faced with. The top image is a PNG file uploaded directly to blogger, some of you may recognize the purple from previous comics. The bottom image represents a file originally uploaded to Photobucket.com, (my broken pencil secret has been revealed.) Now some of you may say, "why didn't you use a white background," I say "that is a good idea"... for next time, others, may suggest transferring image to jpeg, which would be a great idea if I wasn't running windows 3.0 (I am not actually using Windows 3.0, just practicing my alliteration techniques)
-Director
5 Days left on the Tshirt competition. Comment Today!
-Contest Person
Nothing like good ol' fashioned DEADlines!
-Coral Pinsell (feeling that karma crap slowly creeping up her leg)
There you have it, a behind the scenes look at the day to day struggles that we face here @ GenreNation. Check out Loosetooth.com for someone who has managed to get past these struggles, and develop a really cool website. Brandy, I am your biggest unknown fan. Now if you will excuse me, I have to get some shut eye, big day tommorow. Tune in to find out how it went. ps Did anyone happen to check out Dane Cook on SNL? Great show, musical guest James Blunt wasn't bad either.

Help is on the way Mr. Number Two.
-Captain Nobody

... And now a word from this guy...
Hey get-a-long gang, just wanted to thank everyone for stopping buy, it really means a-lot to me, "We" have surpassed 2000 hits (which may seem like a small number, but to me... its huge), I couldn't have done it without you! I would also like to thank our new sponsor, www.photobucket.com, without them, who knows what color this comic would be.

Coming up---->>>> Well, I have planned a tutorial in google, and also plan on working out the idea of WebComic Commerce, so please stay tuned. Oh yeah, speaking of that... www.GenreNation.com is coming down the pipe, gotta couple more details to iron out, with Mr. Lusagi, but, It should be unvailed by the beggining of the year, its a resolution of mine. Wow, ok, so I am going to go pull into my driveway, thanks again, and... Oh yeah, Thank you Your Own Reflection, for the Modest Mouse Poster, I hope you like how I used it.

Sincerely,
Jeremy Tramell

Just curious to see who is out there and reading, please publish a comment so I can know the audience. You can post without being a blogger member, just go Anonymous, and give me some kinda idea of who you are and wear you are. Love ya'll, each and everyone of you.

November's Forecast

Ok all, Just wanted to jump in and say thanks for your continuing diligence in coming back to check for any updates, it means a ton (2000 lbs) to me. I have been unable to find the time to reach out to each of you through this 600x600 square. To those of you who care, the kids are doing great, we haven't taken Logan to a specialist, but should within the next couple of weeks. The comics are getting tougher(especially with less time than before), which has me really re-thinking the old format. For now, I will continue to think, all the while cooking Lunch for two wonderful boys, working on dryer, making t-shirts, fixing gate, and cleaning kitchen.
-Jeremy
For now, I leave you with a photograph, I call this one "Bridge Reflection". It was taken of the Main Street Bridge, here in Jacksonville, FL

Thanks for tuning in.

Its not all gloom and doom!

Dear Get Along Gang,
I am writing you from deep inside Wolfson's Childrens Hospital, due to circumstances beyond "our" control, Angela and I's youngest son Logan has been hospitalized. but... as the title would indicate, its not all gloom and doom. There is good news! (No, I havent't saved any money on Gieco Insurance) The good news is that Logan should be coming home within the next day or so. His infection is goin gto take alot longer to treat and the treatment will continue for many months after the 4 week antibiotic blitzkrieg, but he can come home. We are still a little worried abou this diet, so please keep that in yourthoughts and prayers. I will be posting further family updates on my personal blog http://lmoi.blospot.com so add that to your favorites now. For now< i must log off, before my location is revealed. Thank you all for your support and... Thanks to the Wolfson Staff for the tremendous care and support they have provided for my entire family.
Sincerly,
Jeremy Tramell

Just a sidenote, this TV that I used to jack into the "system" isnt the right format, so I am unable to check my spelling or reread what i have wrote. I will keep my fingers crossed, as long as you overlook the minor errors.

A question about direction?

...and that a wrap!!
-Director
Good job everyone! We have finally completed the first series, in this on going story.
-Producer
Why don't we call it a chapter?
-Mr. Number Two
Why don't we call it a chapter?
-Coral Pinsell (in a more whiny, sarcastic tone)
Ok, you two, cut it out!
-Captain Nobody
So now what?
-Fred
I have a great idea, Why don't WE do a series about not having enough money to produce a WebComic without direction...
-Finance Department
...and we will present ideas on how WE can raise money to do a WebComic without direction, all the while doing a WebComic with direction!
-Hype Department
Tshirts, did anyone say Tshirts?
-T-shirt Guy
Why is my name all weird?
-Mr. Fancy Copyright guy/person

Okay, so it only took 67 cells to kick this thing off, but hey, it beats watching cable right? Not much to report on a personal level, just trying to get by, day after day, after day. Three days into vacation and I have gotten a couple things crossed off the list that I refused to make.
Jeremy?

Show me the Monkey!

Producer, we are going to have to get somone to fill in for Spoaks, he just hasn't been himself lately. Maybe we can give him a short vacation so he can get some rest. This is just not like him.
-Director
I agree, Spoaks, why dont you go ahead and take some time off. We can find other stuff to do in the mean time.
-Producer
Ah geez guys, thank you so much, you wont regret this, you'll see, I will come back like a new pearson.
-Spoaks
This is the grand finally of the Arrow line, all 4 arrows in 1 shirt.
-T shirt guy

Lost Vegas

Lost, like my mind.
-Spoaks
Come on, Spoaks, snap out of it.
-Producer
At this point, I want to continue by saying, WE are all lost, but WE have been given a direction, an example. His name is Jesus Christ, and the direction is the Word of God, The Bible.
-Mr. Number Two
In the original artwork, the lost was barely visible, but due to the .png file format tranfer rate thing, the half tones are eliminated, which is why I had that horizon problem a couple of weeks ago.

-Spoaks P.
It's not that bad Spoaks, just hang in there, your doing great!

Yeah, just because no-one comments, dosn't mean that no-one reads. Don't get down, you have been looked @ over 1000 times.
-Director
I wish I could draw a perfect circle.
-Coral P.
Enough for now, more later. Check out the below comic to catch up, now that I am ov vaca I should be able to produce a couple more. Should that is. Should, I didn't commit.

Now that I am on vacation, I plan on getting alot of things done, like this series, the bills, more bills, yard work (not as hot in fall), work work (during vacation of all times, I know) and other work, and I also plan on spending alot of times with the chilern.

The Art Director (Coral Pinsell)

introducing...

-The Narrarator,

Oh no, double spaced...

-The director

Again?!??

-The producer

Look, everybody, its me, its me!

-Coral Pinsell

Coral, I don't think you read your lines properly, you were supposed to say I just thought I could put more emphasis on, what you were saying: not so much "ON", how you looked saying it. Got that?

-Mr. Number Two

After the first inning I was pretty much able to relax.

-John Smoltz #29 (during post game interview)

That makes two of us.

-Braves Nation (including Glenn Hubbard's Boa Constrictor)

I don't like double space Thursday's, but anyway, I want to take this opportunity, to come from behind the curtain and just get some stuff off my chest. First of all, thanks again, we are nearing the 1000 hit mark and I couldn't be happier. Not that 1000 is anything even remotley close to the hits that other sites get a minute, but... its a start, so again... Thanks. On another note, I have been so so so busy lately with the family, Logan, has a couple of Molars pushing their way through, and needless to say, its been a fun couple of weeks.

I have been having alot of ideas about things I can do, and am proud to announce, uh wait, I am not the announcement guy... uh; Nevermind! Okay, that is enough for now, let the busy man get some rest allready, gees guys/gals.
